Feng Shui - The Secret Key to Unlocking Life's Hidden Treasures and Riches

Great Duke Jupiter 2021

Tai Sui 太岁 is a Chinese term for the stars directly opposite the planet Jupiter. It is the most feared and highly respected Deity in the Chinese belief. When translated from Chinese, the Tai Sui is known as the Yearly God. It is believed that the zodiac sign that clashes with the Tai Sui of the year may encounter some adverse effect in fortune. The clash effect can be derives from one’s pillar of destiny (birth data). If one offended the Tai Sui, he or she may suffer misfortune or ill fortune.

The Great Duke Jupiter is not the actual planet Jupiter. Tai Sui is an intangible star which moves directly opposite of the planet Jupiter. There is a total of 60 Tai Sui taking turns in a rotating cycle to fulfill their duties on earth each year. The Tai Sui’s appointment would commence on the 1st solar term – Li Chun 立春. And the next would take over the baton on the following Li Chun.

The appearance or feature of the Tai Sui indicates the major event of the year. The Tai Sui for 2021 Year of Ox 2021 is 湯信 Tang Xin. He is holding a pen brush, wearing civil clothing. This indicates a year with political unrest.

There are five various clashes namely Zhi 值, Chong 冲, Po 破, Xing 刑 and Hai 害. Each clash formation brings different effect, Zhi 值 and Chong 冲 being the most severe and Hai 害 has the least negative effect..

These are the zodiac/horoscope sign and the various clashes formation in the Year of Ox 2021:

Clash Formation Zodiac Sign Year of Birth
 Zhi 值  Ox 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021
 Chong 冲  Goat 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015
 Xing 刑  Dog 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018

If one's year of birth does not fall under the above category, one of the earthly branch within the pillar of destiny (ba zi) might still have one of the negative clash formation with the Tai Sui. For example, if a person was born at 2am, the person will have a direct clash formation of Zhi 值 in this year.

In the Taoist practice, praying to the Tai Sui at the beginning of the Lunar Year seeking for protection and peace to deflect the negative impact or influence.

In the concept of Feng Shui, the position of the Great Duke Jupiter brings the destructive qi. It is associated to the orientation of a premise determined using the Chinese Feng Shui Compass known as Luo which is marked with the 24 mountains. The location where the Tai Sui resides should best be kept quiet with no disturbance. Activities like renovation, ground breaking, earth digging, banging of door, repairing and nailing on the area must be avoided till the following year. If the energy field where Tai Sui is located is disturbed, misfortune may befall on the residence such as injuries, financial losses, business failure or sudden illnesses. The impact varies hinging on the pillar of destiny.

In the Year of Ox 2021, the Tai Sui is located at the Northeast sector. If the main entrance of a premise is located at this direction, even slamming the door while opening and closing would stir up negative energy. The directly position direction – Southwest has a name known as Sui Po 岁破. This direction should be treated with equal care. Practice caution and select a date to commence renovation, nailing or drilling if the house or site is affected by the sensitive directions.
